    "description": "This API delivers information about legal entities (persons or companies)\r\nwith licences that are used when operating in Norway, or licences approved by Finanstilsynet and used\r\nabroad. The same information can be found, in a human-readable format, in\r\n[Finanstilsynet's registry](https://www.finanstilsynet.no/en/finanstilsynets-registry/) (Norwegian: *Virksomhetsregisteret*).\r\n\r\n## General info about paged results\r\nFor paged results, we return a maximum of 300 pages with\r\n50 results per page. This means that we cannot guarantee\r\nthat we return all possible results for broad queries.\r\n\r\n## Rate limiting\r\nThe API is rate limited to prevent abuse and to ensure that all clients can access the API. The default rate limit is\r\n1000\r\nrequests per 60\r\nseconds per client IP address.\r\n\r\nThe json report endpoint has a stricter limit of 5\r\nrequests per 60\r\nseconds per client IP address.\r\n\r\n## Caching\r\nResponses from GET endpoints are cached for up to\r\n3600\r\nseconds. Identical requests within this period return the same result, even if the registry has been updated in the meantime.\r\nCached responses still count towards the rate limit. `/legal-entities` (by ids) and the custom reports (`/report` and\r\n`/report/json`) are not cached.\r\n\r\n## Versioning\r\nThe API is versioned with v2 returning an extended version of LicenceTypesDetails from\r\n'/licence-types'. In addition, several extra properties was been added to `/filter` and `/search`\r\nin both versions of the API. The extra properties can be used to narrow down the hits returned.\r\n\r\nAs some of the extensions are breaking changes we saw it necessary to introduce API versioning.\r\nVersion v1 will still be supported for the time being, but we do recommend that all consumers\r\nstart using v2.\r\n",
